With the unichip piggyback computer, SAC tuners are able to optimise or fine-tune almost any electronically controlled motor vehicle.
Gone are the days that a timing light, a screwdriver, a 13 spanner and a gas analyser was all that was needed by tuners to tune a vehicle!

The tuning and controlling of the modern motor vehicle has now become a very specialised procedure.
While computers have sharpened the engine control and durability, they have left behind the risk of tampering and tuning efforts by the unskilled.
Non-franchised workshops and in some cases authorised tuners are not able to cure or troubleshoot a fault simply because the system used in the modern motor vehicle has become so advanced.
Making adjustments to spark controls "timing" or fuel injection settings have become virtually impossible.
With the aid of the locally developed and manufactured Uni Q Chip piggyback computer, we are able to optimise or fine-tune almost any electronically controlled motor vehicle.
The best technology in the world and someone who doesn't know what he/she is doing can never be a success.

The new uni Q chip technology enables us to optimise the air/fuel ratio mixture and/or the timing of the vehicle under load conditions, similar to that on the road.
The fully functional Piggyback Computer is wired into the existing Electronic Control Unit harness and allows new information to be stored.
Once the new unit is in place, it can be programmed to suit any specific need, for instance if a change was made to the engine one could calibrate the entire control unit to match the engine.
The only difference between the Uni Q Chip installation and the Plug 'n Play Unichip System is the wiring harness that enables this installation without cutting or intercepting the original wiring.
A good example of "tuning to suit specific needs" is the ability to tune any vehicle to achieve the best possible fuel consumption while driving with light throttle and being able to obtain maximum air performance under full throttle conditions, where fuel consumption should not be an issue.
We are also able to control idling, drive additional injectors, take full control over timing functions and remove road speed governors.
In short, we are able to optimise your vehicle 100%.
This new technology is far superior to the conventional "Chip" which is available all over simply because your own vehicle is individually optimised.
The "Chip" is made in someone else's vehicle somewhere else in another country.
There are many safety functions built into a standard electronic control unit, which remain completely unaltered.
We only change the areas in the rev range or at specific throttle positions, which need to be altered.
Since 1996, "UNICHIPPED" cars have won 31 classes in South Africa's Total Economy Run and more than 70% of all class championship wins in Stannic production car racing has been achieved by vehicles using this technology.
