There are many replacement valves available today ranging from a cheap aftermarket no name brand through to a good quality OEM replacement valve from the specific vehicle manufacturer.
The actual valve is similar or the same in shape and size, but the material composition differs substantially.
Most original equipment valves used in the modern vehicle these days are BI metal and have a fusion welded joint between the stem of the valve and the head.
These valves would normally have a normal steel stem and a stainless steel head.
There are many good quality aftermarket valves available that could be of a better quality and similar material while substantially less expensive.
